DWU’s Kelley Center to Observe Entrepreneurship Week

MITCHELL – The Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship at Dakota Wesleyan University will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 11-15 with some special events.

The public is invited to an open house on Friday, Nov. 15, from 1-3 p.m. in the Pratt Alumni Board Room located in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership.  The afternoon will begin with a panel of local entrepreneurs and leaders discussing their entrepreneurial stories.  Special guests Mitchell Mayor Jordan Hanson, himself an entrepreneur, and DWU President Dan Kittle will offer brief remarks at 1:40. Light refreshments will be served.  Those attending can register for a drawing for one free seat in the Nov. 19 Leadership Accelerator session on transformational conflict, a $400 value.

Other activities during the week include special classroom activities for students in business related programs; a week-long game of Scavenger Hunt bingo; a presentation by 2024 Entrepreneur-in-Residence Ashley Kingdon-Reese, founder and executive director of Independent Health Solutions of Huron, and several guest speakers.
